Reunion on the cards for Kat and Alfie?

EastEnders’ executive producer Lorraine Newman has hinted that Albert Square golden couple Alfie and Kat Moon WILL get back together!

Newman insisted it would be “foolish” not to delve into the separated couple’s relationship again after Kat – who is played by Jessie Wallace - was found to have been involved in a long-running affair with bad boy businessman Derek Branning.

Speaking at the British Academy Television Awards last night – where EastEnders won the Soap and Continuing Drama BAFTA – at she told BANG Showbiz: “It’s a great love story and it would be foolish not to revisit it.

“Hopefully they will get back together but you will have to wait and see. There’s quite a lot in store over the next few months and more will be revealed in the next few weeks.”

Jessie herself is keen for her alter-ego to reunite with Alfie (Shane Richie) but admits she found it tough to act out her affair because she didn’t even find out her character’s mystery lover was Derek –  until much later into the storyline.

She says: “I’d like Kat and Alfie to get back together. There’s a lot more there for the couple. There’s a lot more out there.

“I didn’t know who it was, but Jamie knew. It was very hard to play that with all these looks and the dialogue. But when I found out it was Jamie I was like, ‘Oh I can stop this now.’ And then he died!”

Sharon’s new love

It was only last week when we watched Jack and Sharon’s wedding disintegrate into pieces.
However it doesn’t take her long to rekindle her old romance with The one and only Phil!
The pair share another kiss in May, with Phil telling Sharon he loves her the pair decide enough a enough and they decide to get together again, but just for how long?

Tanya’s shock discovery

We watched earlier in March Tanya make the fatal mistake of letting Phil Mitchell sleep in her bed!!
But it’s ok, because nothing happened…Or so we were led to believe!!
It seems naughty Phil lied to Tanya and they DID in fact SLEEP with each other!
Tanya learns she is pregnant with the Father of 2 and grandfather of one’s baby, sending the Branning family into turmoil.
Poor Tanya, things just don’t seem to be going well for her at the moment.
