Seeing that Trish’s surprise arrival at the Mitchell house has now thrown Lola, a devious Sharon decides to capitalise on this by inviting her to join their dinner party. Things become even more awkward when Shirley turns up, intent on causing trouble.
Determined not to lose her cool in front of Trish, Sharon invites Shirley to stay too. Shirley tries her best to wind up Sharon with a variety of digs, which includes bringing up her past relationships. Sharon stays calm at first but as Shirley starts getting to her, Phil tries to throw his bitter ex out. When Lola also tells Shirley to go, she realises she has no supporters in the house and leaves.
Later, when alone with Lola, Sharon thanks her for standing up to Shirley and assures her that what she witnessed last week was just a one-off. Lola finally starts to believe her, but once all the dinner guests have gone, Sharon quickly takes out some pills and takes some. It’s clear that her addiction is far from over……
Elsewhere, Ava is stunned to see Dexter’s father Sam on her doorstep. She sends him away while she gets Dexter out of the house. Once Dexter has gone, Sam returns and explains that his father has died, which has made him reflect on his own life. He now regrets walking out on Dexter and wants to build a relationship with his son. Feeling that this isn’t a good idea, Ava tries to get rid of Sam but is interrupted when Dexter returns home.
Ava tells her son that Sam is someone she knew from a long time ago, and Sam plays along by introducing himself as Jacob. After a brief chat with ‘Jacob’, Dexter is impressed and thinks he is a much better catch for Ava than Billy. Later, Ava catches up with Sam and warns him to stay away from her and Dexter.
Meanwhile, Carol and Masood agree to take their relationship to the next level following an evening out, Billy is left disappointed when Ava cancels their date due to the stress of Sam’s arrival, while Jean tries to impress Ian, Lucy and Bobby with a Chicken Surprise dish as she battles to secure a job at the new restaurant!
Billy is not convinced by Lola’s accusations against Sharon. Determined to prove that this was not just a once off on Sharon’s part, Lola urges Billy to move the time of his date with Ava so that he can be at the family dinner tonight, promising that she can prove to him that she is right.
Later at the dinner, Lola seizes a chance to snoop around when Sharon is busy serving up food, but she is caught rooting through Sharon’s handbag by Phil. Lola quickly makes up an excuse for meddling with her handbag, but when Sharon finds out, she realises what the suspicious teenager is up to.
As the family gathering continues, Billy begins to realise that Lola may be right when he sees Sharon pour some wine away, thinking that she doesn’t want to mix pills and alcohol. Billy is further concerned when he sees Sharon stumble, but he doesn’t want to tell Phil what’s going on as he fears it could jeopardise their chances of successfully getting Lexi back home.
Once Billy has left for his date with Ava, Lola finds herself in a stand-off with Sharon and Phil when she tries to take Lexi from the house. To make matters worse, social worker Trish then turns up!
Elsewhere, Ava has asked Dexter to be around for her date with Billy. However, when Dexter finds out that the time has been pushed back, he thinks that Billy is messing Ava around and refuses to attend.
Ava makes it clear to Dexter that this dinner is important to her and she is making a lot of effort, so Dexter arrives home just in time for the meal. When Ava hears a knock at the door, she nervously prepares herself to invite Billy inside – but is shocked when she opens the door to a face from her past. Who could it be?
Meanwhile, Kirsty lies to Max by claiming that she has already had her 12-week scan. She tells him that she didn’t want to pay for the pictures as the scan didn’t show much anyway!
Feeling put out that she went without him, Max tells Kirsty that he has booked a private clinic to get a 3D scan, which they can go to together. How will Kirsty get out of this one?
Also today, Ian offers Jean a trial for a job as a chef at new restaurant Le Square, while Bianca and AJ come up with a plan to give Carol and Masood some alone time together.
Michael confronts Janine over an expensive nanny that she has hired and he tries to get rid of her. However, Janine will not listen and simply tells him that he should be happy someone is caring for their daughter. Alice then tries to help, but with no luck. However, later on Alice sees the nanny distracted whilst with Scarlett in the Square gardens, Alice quickly takes Scarlett to Janine’s, saying that she saw her unattended. Angry, Janine dismisses the nanny and hires Alice instead.
Elsewhere, Lola receives a new cot from Sharon but she is suspicious as she thinks Sharon is only sending gifts to keep her quiet. Later on, Billy questions Lola on her suspicious behavior around Sharon and Lola blurts out the truth.
Also, Denise treats Ian to a saucy night when she turns up in nothing but a rain coat…

Roxy is frozen in fear as Jozef, the builder for Ian approaches her in the Queen Vic, but Kat has changed her mind and heads to the Vic after she saw Jozef re-entering the pub after being thrown out earlier that night. Jozef grabs a terrified Roxy, but Kat stands her ground and tries to talk the thief and tell him that he is making a huge mistake. Just as things look like they might be okay, Roxy is mortified as Amy walks into the room, but this triggers Jozef to realise what he is doing and he leaves.
Left alone, Kat and Roxy seem to be getting on, and Kat offers to help out behind the bar whilst Roxy calms Amy and herself down. A grateful Roxy agrees and thanks Kat for her help. However when Kat later offers to help clean up the bar Roxy jumps to the conclusion that she is just waiting around to see Alfie, Kat is hurt by her accusation and insists she was only trying to help her out.
Roxy then goes into the square’s gardens to try and relax after her ordeal but Janine walks past and starts winding Roxy up about her relationship with Alfie. Roxy turns the tables when she comments on how her relationship is fine and Kat has moved on… with Michael.
Meanwhile, Whitney gathers her friends at The Vic to celebrate Lauren getting a new job, but a spiteful Lucy deliberately flirts with Joey in front of Lauren to wind her up. Lauren later shocks her friends as she kisses Tyler, in front of Whitney!
Recap of Monday 6th May:
Quote Of The Day: #TooMuchInfo – Alfie Moon (Oh man, I love him!)
Highlight: The Michael & Kat Scenes.
Lowlight: Cast List said David Witts/Joey Branning would be making appearance but it lied like it did last Friday with Jacqueline Jossa/Lauren Branning. Not happy. I was hoping for some of him to fill in the dread of going back to college tomorrow oh well, I know he is in tomorrow!
So the first ep of the week and I had to say it was a pretty good one. First of all, I’m loving the Michael and Kat scenes. From their banter, to the emotion filled scenes, I actually love them so much and I want them together. I’m over my Kat and Alfie love affair and rooting for Michael and Kat all the way! It’s a shame he is leaving if I’m being honest.
Can we take a moment to admire and love the acting skill of Steve John Shepherd. He plays Michael brilliantly and showcases the different sides of him amazingly. I think my favourites are his funny scenes and his upsetting scenes. I’m drawn into the character most then. #TeamMichael
Tonight again proved again how much I hate Lucy Beale. Her dad is really trying to turn his life around after his breakdown last year and she keeps shooting him down. I get she is trying to be realistic but she is going about it the wrong day. I would say that’s her dad at the end of the day but look what she did to her best friend!
Also I’m loving Ava and Cora developments. I get Cora is trying to get to know her eldest daughter but she has to understand why Ava’s walls are so high and I must of wrote in my notes about 3 or 4 times I love Dexter so much! I think he is a brilliant addition to the cast and I love the different relationships he has with different characters, especially Abi, Jay and Cora.
I am over this Sharon storyline. I thought I would like having her back but I’m just bored everytime I watch her on screen. I don’t know why but I just don’t her storylines at all. Her and Phil make me yawn. I preferred her with Jack but you will never be able to replace the magic of her and Dennis and I will always love Phil and Shirley together. I hope they revisit them one day.
I love Alice is getting more screen time but I hate her with this crush on Michael. It’s cringe worthy. First his brother, now him? Does she want to be a Moon or something? I just relieved she is dressing more age. Michael is lucky Joey wasn’t there when he called Alice an idiot. It would of gone down big style which I would of loved!
Loving Janine is back! And I must say I love her hair better brunette. She is just so funny. First her fake accent with Ian then saying ‘You look upset’ yeah, no s*it Sherlock, I mean Janine.
I do hope Roxy and Alfie have a baby soon. They are so cute together.
On a final note, my last thought and hope of tonight was Can Michael and Kat be together and bring up Tommy and Scarlett and be a happy family? Yeah, wishful thinking.
If you have seen the preview clip for tomorrow, you will know that Lucy is upping the bitch antics! I’m Team Lauren through and through and Lucy calling Joey whilst Lauren is trying to move on with her life? LOW MOVE! This bitch needs finding out and soon. I think it will be soon. It has to be because I can’t watch Lauren suffer anymore because of someone she considers as her best friend. I call an oldfashioned cat fight please! Lucy needs sorting out once and for all.
Elsewhere, you know that Jozef that hurt his arm tonight whilst working for Ian? Well I’m guessing fuelled by the amount of alcohol he was drinking tonight, its going to spur him to try and rob the Vic! First he asks Roxy to empty the till, which she refuses with the help of Kat (We’ll get to that later) and then Roxy finds him upstairs in the doorway- scared for her life.
So some awkward moments between Kat and Roxy coming up, first Roxy dismisses her help but when the problem of Jozef occurs, Roxy realises she needs the help!
Dot begins to be a complication for Kirsty and her baby lie! First Dot asks the sex of the baby so Kirsty decides its time to tell her husband the truth but Dot makes some baby booties, arriving to the flat with them and tells Max she thinks they will have a boy, Max is overjoyed and Kirsty doesn’t want to break his heart. I have a feeling he is going to make the name suggestion of Bradley.
Poppy is playing matchmaker for Alice (aww I love the thought of Alice and Tamwar) and some cute Jay and Abi moments are promised as he says he’ll take her away after her exams (say after me, 1, 2, 3, awwww). They are one of my favourite square couples!
My review for tomorrow’s will be probably be posted Wednesday as I won’t be watching until half 10 on BBC3!
Michael starts his day off excited as he is supposed to be spending time with his daughter Scarlett, however, Janine does not show up. Michael then goes to search for Janine but she is nowhere to be found. Later, Michael eventually finds Janine but he is left stunned when she says she no longer wants Michael to have any access to Scarlett.
Elsewhere on the Square, Alfie asks Roxy to keep their baby plans a secret for now. However, Kat arrives at the pub and notices a leaflet about getting pregnant. Upset, Kat goes home and bumps into an upset Michael, who firstly has a go at her but eventually breaks down over everything that is happening.
Meanwhile, a desperate Sharon asks Lola for her pills, but Lola says that she has already thrown them away. Sharon promises that she will tell Phil the truth, but when she next sees him, he is annoyed with her for forgetting to pick up Dennis. Not wanting to argue, Sharon continues to lie.

The 2 Must See Moments of This Week
Troubled Lauren Branning’s erratic behaviour is set to cause ructions on Albert Square next week when she makes a move on unsuspecting Tyler Moon!
The kiss comes during an evening at the Queen Vic, where Tyler’s girlfriend Whitney has gathered a group of Lauren’s friends together to celebrate the fact that Lauren has landed a waitressing job at Ian Beale’s new restaurant. Whitney had pulled out of the race to help her, believing that Lauren needed the opportunity more.
But when Lucy purposefully flirts with Joey in order to wind Lauren up, it soon becomes clear that the night at the pub isn’t going to go as planned!
Lauren is left feeling more insecure than ever, but Tyler is on hand to advise her not to worry as he’s sure that Joey isn’t interested in Lucy and that she should fight for him. However, when Joey walks towards them, Lauren makes a desperate move by suddenly grabbing Tyler and kissing him!
Witnessing this, Whitney storms over demanding to know what’s going on. Tyler tries to get a drunken Lauren to admit the truth, but will she do the right thing? Find out in the episode airing on Thursday 9 May.
Lola is relieved when she manages to wake Sharon up, but is confused when she refuses to go to A&E to get checked over. However all becomes clear soon after when Lola finds Sharon’s handbag spilled across the kitchen table – with her pills clearly on show.
Lola is just about to call Phil when Sharon pleads with her not to, confessing her pill problem and the fact that Phil has no idea about it. Sharon promises Lola that she isn’t addicted, but when the teenager goes to throw the pills away, Sharon violently wrenches them back before scrabbling around on her hands and knees to pick up any that had dropped on the floor.
Lola makes it clear that she intends to tell Phil the truth when he gets home, as she can’t have Lexi living with Sharon anymore. However, Sharon warns her that she’ll risk Lexi going back into care if she reveals her secret to Phil.
When Phil arrives home, will Lola tell him all?
Elsewhere, Michael causes a scene at The Vic after Janine has spent the evening flaunting Scarlett in his face. Alice helps Michael back to the gym, but soon realises that this is where he’s been staying the last few nights.
Alice and Kat join forces to convince Michael to come and stay with them. They make Michael realise that his battle with Janine isn’t over and they are going to help him get his daughter back.
Meanwhile, Ian announces that Janine is his new business partner and has helped him to get the lease to the Emporium. He plans to turn it into a fine dining establishment. Lucy is furious that Ian has gone behind her back, but Joey urges her to give Ian a break.
Also today, Masood and Carol kiss after their date, Kat and Bianca photograph Lister in a compromising position and attempt to blackmail him, while Poppy and Fatboy are pleased to realise that Alice and Tamwar have plenty in common!
Sharon’s painkiller addiction is becoming more difficult for her to handle. She is relieved when the bouncer at the E20 has got her more pills, which puts an end to her latest withdrawal symptoms.
Soon afterwards, Sharon and Phil decide to go public with their relationship. However, Shirley warns Sharon that she’s making a big mistake getting back with Phil, and this pushes Sharon to take more tablets.
Later, Sharon begins to drink at Billy’s birthday party at The Vic, but she soon begins to feel nauseous due to the combination of pills and alcohol. She uses Lexi’s tiredness as an excuse to leave the party early.
When Sharon arrives home, she leaves Lexi in her buggy and runs upstairs to be sick. Not long afterwards, Lola heads over to Phil’s to say goodnight. However, Lola is shocked to find Lexi all alone and Sharon unconscious on the bathroom floor upstairs. Will Sharon be okay?
Elsewhere, Michael pretends to Kat that he’s fine and things have turned out for the best with Scarlett. He throws himself into work, but upsets Ray by telling him that he no longer wants any part of the youth boxing scheme.
Later, Kat and Alice worry about Michael when they find him at The Vic acting like nothing has happened. However, when Janine and Scarlett arrive for Billy’s party, it’s clear that Michael isn’t handling the situation well at all.
Meanwhile, Billy is delighted that everyone has made the effort for his birthday, and he’s especially pleased when Ava kisses him on the cheek!
Also today Poppy sets herself on a mission to find Tamwar a girlfriend, while Dexter tells Ava that he’ll give Billy a chance but only if she spends some time with Cora in return.
